Lydia Merad is a lawyer specialised in intellectual property law and new technology law. She was called to the Paris Bar in 2017.
She holds a Master I degree in Business Law from Jean Moulin Lyon III University and a Master II degree in Intellectual Property and Design Law from the Lumière Lyon II University.
Before joining Qualiens in November 2017, Lydia was an associate in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology (IP/IT) department of Hoche Société d’Avocats, which she had joined in January 2016.
Upon joining Qualiens, Lydia was seconded for 7.5 months to an international insurance group specialising in asset management. During this mission, she assisted the group’s legal department in bringing it into compliance with the provisions of the GDPR at an international level. In particular, by joining the working group in charge of the project, Lydia participated in updating outsourcing agreements and establishing internal rules in cooperation with the group’s operational teams. Lastly, she advised and assisted all the legal teams with the implementation of the GDPR at global level.
