Frédéric Guénin

Information Technology and Intellectual Property

Frédéric began his professional career in a start-up company at the very beginning of the Internet (2000-2001). His operational task was to design a B2B marketplace, accessible in 5 languages through a sectoral portal. He also initiated the integration of a search engine based on the semantic analysis of the web. As the head of the company’s legal department, he actively participated in fundraising, contract negotiations and acquired a feel for entrepreneurial projects.

Then, for more than a decade, Frédéric pursued his career in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology (IP/IT) departments of leading law firms: EY Société d’Avocats from 2002 to 2003; Pwc Société d’Avocats (formerly Landwell & Associates) from 2004 to 2012 where he held the position of Director.

Frédéric then joined the law firm Hoche Société d’Avocats, where he was counsel in the Intellectual Property & Information Technology (IP/IT) department.

In 2017, he founded Qualiens together with Quentin Fournier

Frédéric holds the following qualifications :

  • Certificat d’aptitude à la profession d’avocat [Bar finals certificate] (2002),
  • Specialised Mastère in Information Systems and Technology Management – HEC & Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (2000),
  • DESS [Advanced postgraduate specialised diploma] in Digital Law and New Technologies – University of Paris XI – Jean Monnet Faculty (1999),
  • Master’s degree in Business Law – University of Paris XI – Jean Monnet Faculty (1998).

  • Assistance in the event of a Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés [National Commission for IT and Civil Liberties (French data protection body) (CNIL)] inspection,

  • Formal legal advice,
  • Assessment of legal risk,
  • Legal feasibility studies,
